I am walking, I keep on walking despite everything and because of so many things...

The road is appearing under my feet. Sometimes I feel like I’ve paved it over the open field.

We walk down hundreds of paths during our lifetime to find the place where we belong to. But then there comes a point where all the roads get mixed up. So you fail to distinguish the one that is yours from the others. This is the moment of awakening when you need to come back to yourself.

In the performance "Road" we are coming back. We are trying the taste of life and death. Through every step, through every movement we are making an effort to unlock the potential, to find the impulse that would define the character. In searching for the answers, we walk into our fears, desires and attachments.

Through all these layers we are trying to see our true self clearly. Instead of looking for the only right direction to go towards, we want to shift the focus to the one who walks the path. Because the road is walking makes the road the one who walks makes the road. .. and because the road is emerging under my feet.

"Road" creates a space for spectators to explore. Every image is a special code to the human subconscious. But in what manner they will decipher the code and how they will narrate the story depends solely on their own inner experience.

A path is just a path. There is no right and wrong roads. However, there is an promising possibility to learn something new about yourself with your every step by walking down the path.

The premiere took place on October 19, 2020 in Moscow.

"Three maidens in red skirts, robes and sackcloth perform picture-perfect etudes, a dervish dance, running, thrashing in the sand and very moving. Combined with the author's transcendent sound and spot light, it all becomes hypnosis and meditation.

It's hard to explain contemporary dance, much less physical theatre, in words, but you can understand it, at least feel it.

And all in all, it's a very good independent theatre that should definitely have a future!"

"In the "moonlight" and "sunshine" such theatrical magic is created that you don’t understand how the cone of light turns out to be a pile of sand, and canvases with a diameter the width of the entire stage suddenly turn into a tiger’s head or a camel’s hump.

The music cannot be photographed, but the composer is a magician. This music seems to be simultaneously electronic, techno, spiritual, with European folk and Russian motifs. It contains either African tribalism or bird's cry, so that you realise that you are witnessing a sacred action. That there is a deep philosophical meaning embedded in these rituals and squirming of beautiful indentured maiden bodies, which articulates the text "I am going, I keep going"...

At the end, the stage is sprinkled with white sand and the physical choreographic effort of three dancer-actresses, in which the merging of bodies and the intertwining of souls conveys all the hardships of a long journey. Amidst the jingling of bells, one can echo "Will you take me with you?"

On this road I am ready to walk endlessly!...
